Duskbound

Twilight rushes through my veins,
silent echoes call your name.
Scars of longing, carved in stone,
in the dusk, I walk alone.

A voice like fire in the cold,
your memory, my only hold.

You’re the duskbound flame in me,
burning through what I can’t see.
Though you're gone, I still remain,
bound to hope, bound to pain.
You’re the duskbound light I crave,
from the cradle to the grave.

Tried to bury what I feel,
but some wounds never heal.
I wear your shadow like a mark,
lost and reaching through the dark.

Storm winds howl your name again,
your silence sings inside the rain.
Fallen leaves and shattered skies,
I still search your fading eyes.

Still I stand where you once stood,
lost in time and brotherhood.

You’re the duskbound flame in me,
burning through what I can’t see.
Though you're gone, I still remain,
bound to hope, bound to pain.
You’re the duskbound light I crave,
from the cradle to the grave.

We never said goodbye.
We only ran out of time.

You’re the duskbound flame in me,
burning on eternally.
Though you're lost, you're never far—
still I chase your dying star.
You’re the duskbound soul I keep,
in the silence, in my sleep.
