Do You Remember Me
When twilight falls on silent ground,
The stars like echoes gather 'round.
I walk the path we used to roam,
Through woods that once we called our home.
The trees still whisper soft your name,
But nothing ever feels the same.
I reach through time, but shadows flee,
Tell me, do you remember me?
I carved your smile in drifting sand,
But waves erased it from the land.
I etched it high in clouded skies,
But winds blew out the faintest lines.
So now I keep it locked inside,
A flame no sorrow can divide.
Within my chest it ever burns,
Until the world no longer turns.
At dusk, the wind calls out again,
It carries loss like autumn rain.
I wonder if you feel it too,
A longing shaped in shades of blue.
The silence knows the words I keep,
The dreams I guard but never speak.
Your laughter lost in time’s deep sea,
Still anchors all that’s left of me.
I carved your smile in drifting sand,
But waves erased it from the land.
I etched it high in clouded skies,
But winds blew out the faintest lines.
So now I keep it locked inside,
A flame no sorrow can divide.
Within my chest it ever burns,
Until the world no longer turns.
I walk through dream and memory,
Where only ghosts remember me.
May stars above protect your sleep,
And grant you joy that time may keep.
I carved your smile in drifting sand,
But waves erased it from the land.
Yet in the silence, deep and true,
My soul still reaches out to you.
A love that time could never bend,
I’ll miss you 'til the very end.
